By RichardDuggan

Essex County Council have a launched a new campaign to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of lung cancer.

The ‘Know the Signs’ campaign aims to educate local people, particularly in the Jaywick area, about how to spot potential indicators the disease.

In late 2016, Cancer UK released data to Green Elms Medical Centre, in Jaywick, which showed the area had a considerably higher rate of suspected lung cancer than England as a whole.

Teaming up with the medical centre, Essex County Council’s Public Health Team have created a short video which features an interview with a survivor of lung cancer.
